Terms & Conditions
By creating an account or using Zzquad you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 and have legal capacity to accept these Terms. We may refuse registration or close accounts that don't comply.
2. Account
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You're responsible for anything that happens under your credentials. We use sign-in from Apple and Google; their use is subject to their own terms.
3. Acceptable use & community guidelines
You will not impersonate others, manipulate ratings or badges, harass or discriminate against other players, post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or defamatory content, doxx or harass third parties, organize matches for illegal purposes, scrape the Service, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows. We may remove content, suspend features or close your account for any violation.
4. Your content
What you post (name, photo, descriptions, messages, attendance, badges given) remains yours. You grant us a worldwide, royalty- free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish and display that content inside the Service and in related communications (e.g. showing your name to another player when you join their match).
5. User reports & moderation
You can report users or content from inside the app. We review reports and may take action — including warnings, temporary restrictions, content removal, or permanent bans — at our reasonable discretion. We are not obligated to monitor or moderate all content proactively.
6. Game rules & penalties
We use rating, badges, attendance tracking and monetary penalties to keep matches healthy. Repeated no-shows or violations can restrict your access to matches or clubs. We may adjust these rules with in-app notice.
7. Teams, leagues and competitive play
Zzquad may offer team-based features — registering a team under a club, playing team-vs-team matches, joining leagues or seasonal competitions, generating brackets and publishing standings. When you join or captain a team you accept the additional rules and schedule of that team, league or tournament, including forfeit, substitution and tiebreaker policies that we publish before the season begins.
Team and league participation may produce public-facing results: rosters, scores, standings, top-scorer lists and historical records. By participating you authorize the display of that information inside the Service and in related communications, including those of sponsors or partners where applicable.
Some leagues, tournaments, teams or club features may be paid — including entry fees, team or league subscriptions and management fees that Zzquad charges for organizing, scheduling, refereeing, results validation and dispute handling. Pricing and the breakdown of any prize pools or revenue share will be disclosed before participation, and payments are governed by Section 12.
8. Sportsmanship and fair play
You agree to play in good faith. Match-fixing, deliberately losing or throwing matches, colluding to inflate or deflate ratings or badges, creating fake teams or sock-puppet accounts to game standings, and similar abuses are prohibited. We may invalidate results, reset ratings, remove badges, disqualify teams from competitions or close accounts when we detect such behavior, at our reasonable discretion.
9. Health & physical activity
Playing sports involves physical effort and risk of injury. You confirm you're physically fit to participate and that the decision to play is yours alone. Zzquad is not responsible for injuries, accidents or harm during matches. If you host, you're responsible for verifying the field and participants.
10. Conduct between players
Matches happen between people. Zzquad does not mediate interpersonal disputes and is not responsible for the conduct of other users. Use the report function for inappropriate behavior.
11. Third-party venues & services
Fields, venues, transportation, third-party identity providers and payment processors are operated by parties other than Zzquad. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their availability, condition, fees or policies.
12. Payments, subscriptions & refunds
Some matches have a cost. We may charge for individual features, premium plans, team or club subscriptions, league and tournament entry, league management (organizing, scheduling, refereeing, results management), event hosting fees, prize-pool operation fees, in-app purchases and marketplace transactions, with the applicable price and terms disclosed at the point of purchase.
Payments are processed by Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe or other providers under their own terms. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal through the platform store.
Unless otherwise stated, no-show fines, entry fees, league fees and other event-related charges are non-refundable except for our error or where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Where we operate prize pools, the rules and tax treatment of prizes will be described before participation.
13. Promotions, tournaments & sponsored content
We may run promotions, contests, tournaments or sponsorship programs, each with its own additional rules that will be made available before participation. Sponsored matches, partner clubs or advertising may appear inside the Service; we'll identify them clearly when required by applicable law.
14. AI and automated features
We use algorithmic and machine-learning features (including AI models) to compute individual and team ratings, suggest matches and opponents, rank players and teams in leagues, recommend clubs to join, detect abuse and improve the Service. Outputs are best-effort estimates and may be inaccurate or imperfect. We may update these models over time.
15. Beta features
We may label certain features as beta, experimental or early access. They are provided "as is" and may change, break or be removed without notice. Don't rely on beta features for critical decisions.
16. Business and organizational accounts
If you use Zzquad on behalf of a club, business, federation, league or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these Terms, and the organization is jointly responsible with you for activity on the account. We may require a separate written agreement (including a Data Processing Agreement) for organizational use that goes beyond hobby-level activity, sponsorships, paid tournaments or member management on behalf of third parties.
17. Intellectual property & copyright
The Zzquad name, logo, app, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute them. If you believe content on Zzquad infringes your copyright, send a notice to team@zzquad.com identifying the work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact details and a statement under penalty of perjury that you're the rights holder (DMCA-style notice).
18. Service availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you've paid Zzquad in the 12 months preceding the claim or USD 50.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Zzquad and its directors, employees and providers harmless from any claim, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your conduct or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
21. Dispute resolution & class action waiver
You and Zzquad will try to resolve any dispute informally first by contacting team@zzquad.com. Where permitted by law, any unresolved dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration (not in court), and you and Zzquad waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations or representative proceedings. Some jurisdictions do not permit this waiver; in that case it does not apply to you to the extent prohibited.
22. Termination
You may close your account from Settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or applicable law, or if we discontinue the Service.
23. Force majeure & general provisions
We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (internet outages, cloud provider failures, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, cyber attacks). If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. No partnership, agency, employment or representation is created. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement and replace prior understandings on the same subject. You may not assign these Terms; we may.
24. Changes
We may update these Terms when we add features or for legal reasons. We'll notify you of material changes inside the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
25. Export controls
You confirm you're not located in, and aren't a national or resident of, any country or on any list subject to applicable export controls or sanctions that would prohibit use of the Service.
26. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Subject to the arbitration section above, disputes will be brought before the courts of Santiago, Chile, unless mandatory local law of your residence requires another jurisdiction.
